McComie - Knocks Ma Pau players attitude vs Rangers

TECHNICAL director of football at Ma Pau FC Michael McComie is very disappointed with the performance of his team in its  match against St Ann's Rangers on Friday in the Digicel T&T Pro League at the  Hasely Crawford Staium, Mucurapo.

Ma Pau and Rangers played to a 1-1 scoreline and McComie believes Rangers came away much more satisfied with the result than his team. He said they (Rangers) played hard and deserved a share of the points but Ma Pau's performance was disappointing.

McComie was severely critical of his players whom he said: "They took Rangers for granted, you can tell by how we started the game and our attitute. We played liked we would dominate and that certainly did not happened. You cannot take a team like Rangers for granted beacuse they play to win and they know how to win."

He said: "After the match I had to let the players know how I felt after the disappointing result and our mediocre approach to the game. I spoke to them about their complacency, and their attitude. I gave them a good tongue lashing because we're a better team than how we played on Friday."

McComie explained that despite the team's attitude the technical staff was satisfied with the technical aspect and strategy employed. "We enjoyed greater ball possession, created many scoring opportunities which we failed to convert into goals", revealed McComie, a former national stand-out.
